About bloody time

From Stuff:
Police bring family in for interviews
28 June 2006
By MARTIN KAY

Family members of the murdered Kahui twins – including their mother – have succumbed to public pressure and met detectives, as three government departments begin inquiries into the case.

After a standoff between police and the family that lasted more than a week, officers went to homes occupied by the twins' mother, Macsyne King, and other relatives and escorted them to Mangere police station for interviews.
I'm all for respecting people's customs and culture - but this is a murder case is it not? A couple of charges of obstructing a Police investigation might not go a miss.
