So a very quiet day today, reading up on the company I am going to see and trying to remember some of those odious acronyms that fly about project land...

Regardless of the business case scenario put in front of me tomorrow - the answer is;

I'll give you an RDD, build that into a PDD, as long as the CB supports the overall finding of the original PP. If the PP is approved, then I as the BA, reporting to the PM, will work with the DBA to produce a detailed TDD.
